Paul Schroeder, Executive Director
Paul Schroeder has served as Executive Director since May 2020. In this role, he promotes the value of federal statistics and advocates for a well-funded and independent federal statistical system free from political bias or favor. A survey methodologist by training, Mr. Schroeder brings over 20 years of experience working with federal statistical agencies to bear on his current role. He focuses on increasing communication and community amongst the federal data producers and users, and works towards ensuring that each principal statistical agency receives the financial and logistical support requierd to ensure timely, granular, and reliable data are produced for public use. Prior to joining COPAFS, Mr. Schroeder served as Vice President at Abt Associates and led a team of researchers focused on transportation and environmental studies. Mr. Schroeder holds an M.A. in Sociology from the University of Virginia.
